Cataract Surgery

A stitchless, painless, day‑care procedure.

We perform Micro‑Incision Cataract Surgery (MICS) using Micro Phaco technology. This modern technique has several clear advantages over older methods:

  • Stitchless — a tiny incision self‑seals, so no stitches are needed.
  • Painless — done under topical anaesthesia (just eye drops).
  • Day‑care — no hospital admission. You go home within hours.
  • No injections — a big relief for anxious patients.
  • Faster recovery — most patients resume normal activities within a day or two.
  • Premium IOLs — foldable intraocular lenses for clear, long‑lasting vision, including toric and multifocal options.

Signs you may have a cataract

  • · Gradually blurry or cloudy vision
  • · Difficulty driving at night, glare from headlights
  • · Colours appearing faded or yellowish
  • · Frequent changes in spectacle prescription
  • · Double vision in one eye

धुंधली दृष्टि, रात में गाड़ी चलाने में कठिनाई, या बार‑बार चश्मे का नंबर बदलना — मोतियाबिंद के सामान्य लक्षण हैं।

Eye care FAQ

Questions people often ask

How long does cataract surgery take? Can I go home the same day?

The surgery itself typically takes about 15–20 minutes per eye. It is a day‑care procedure — you arrive, undergo surgery and rest briefly, and go home within a few hours. Both eyes are not operated on the same day.

Which intraocular lens (IOL) is right for me?

There are several IOL options — standard monofocal, toric (for astigmatism), multifocal and extended‑depth‑of‑focus lenses. The best choice depends on your lifestyle, existing spectacle power, and budget. We'll discuss all options in detail before you decide.

I have diabetes. How often should I get my eyes checked?

At least once a year, even if your vision feels fine. Diabetes can silently damage the retina, and early detection of diabetic retinopathy makes treatment far more effective.

Am I a candidate for LASIK?

LASIK suitability depends on your age, stability of spectacle power, corneal thickness, and overall eye health. After a detailed assessment, we'll honestly tell you if LASIK, Phakic IOL, or continuing with spectacles/contact lenses is best for your eyes.

Do you treat children's eye problems?

Yes — we see children for vision assessment, squint evaluation, and common eye conditions. Complex paediatric cases are referred to specialised centres when needed.

Struggling with your vision?

A comprehensive eye exam is the first step to clearer sight.
